NEW RUNNING CLUB IN BEDALE
MORZINE MAYHEM TRAINING CAMP UPDATE 020508-050508 SEE RACE ACCOUNTS
NEW FOR THE 2008 / 2009 WINTER SEASON
Yes, summer is not even upon us but my determination to be fit for 2010 ( keep putting the comeback to true fitness back a year every March! ) is undiminished. For those looking for regular winter training I have the perfect solution. I am hoping to get funding from the Ripon Tri Committee to hire Bulmer village hall ( a mere £12 per 2 hour slot ) on a regular basis for turbo sessions starting in October 2008 so fear not, If you have failed to get into tip top shape this winter there is always next winter to succeed. I know it will not be convenient for everybody but Bulmer is off the A64 between York and Malton. The village hall is an excellent facility with a kitchen for a brew etc after the sessions and I am hoping that this will add another method for us to train together and meet up over those long winter months. I will attempt to get funding to purchase Tea, Coffee and soft drinks for after each session and will also endeavour to get experienced 'Turbo nutters' to run some sessions. Watch out for details at the end of the season. We are also now looking into the possible use of Thornton Le Clays village hall just off the A64 between Malton and York. Rich Harrison is a key holder for the hall, it will be of a similar price and access will be easier. There is also a pub in this village!! Again watch this space for more news in the Autumn
Turbo Sessions
I've just moved into my new house in Selby, with gym (ehem, garage) fully equiped with fans, hi-fi, DVD player and some training DVDs (Spinervals' Tough love 3hrs and Have Mercy!{2hrs}) I'm thinking of having regular turbo sessions, using the DVDs or other workouts (1hr). There'd be room for 4/5 bikes, it'd be a bit cosy - but good crack! Email me at rreynolds6982@hotmail.com if your interested.

CHAIN GANG SESSIONS!!!!!
Ratty Rowland is now running regular chain gangs. They are in and around the Tadcaster area and each will be about an hour in duration using short curcuits so if you get dropped you will soon be picked up again. For more info please E Mail John on ratty.clare@googlemail.com If you contact John he will place you on his chainganging distribution list and keep you informed of all the sessions he is running. This is a great opportunity for some quality training with good company. You have nothing to loose so get in touch with John 'Ratty' Rowland.
The chain gang has been going for 3-4weeks now and we are now up to 5 regular riders but could do with more. My evening TT series is starting within the next couple of weeks so the sessions may not be as regular due to racing committments. Next ride tomorrow at 1900hrs at Bishop Wood near Selby or 1820hrs at Tadcaster Police Stn. 40miles riding in a couple of hours good quality training very time efficient. If you are worried about the speed of the group etc have a word with myself, Andy Pattinson, Paul Sinclair they will let you know what it is like, can't be that bad they are doing it again!!!!! It will be much nicer than the turbo (if there is anything nicer than the turbo??????). IM war stories will come for free. (it is so nice to think I won't be doing another, so I am in a position to gloat!!!). E-mail to above address.

REMEMBER.....ANYBODY CAN ORGANISE A TRAINING SESSION TO FIT IN WITH THEIR TIMETABLE AT A VENUE TO SUIT THE ORGANISER. YOU MAY GET COMPANY, YOU MAY NOT? BUT WHY NOT TAKE THE CHANCE TO MEET AND TRAIN WITH OTHER CLUB MEMBERS BY USING THE WIKI AND ADVERTISING YOUR SESSIONS........ NYP Tri............The Triathlete in front!
PILATES
Now that lake swimming is over (pity), anyone interested in developing or maintaining core stability and working on flexibilty over the winter months? I am running some advanced Pilates classes in Harrogate on Tuesday evenings. If you know how to access your core muscles then you are welcome to attend even if you have not done pilates before. But be advised this class is not for beginners.
